Benn Skender

Chief Executive Officer

Benn Skender is Chief Executive Officer of PlaySide Studios, a publicly listed video game developer and publisher with personnel in Australia, the UAE and Germany. He joined PlaySide as Chief Strategy Officer in 2022, where he set the Company’s medium-term strategic direction and led its engagement with institutional investors, before also assuming responsibility for the Operations function across the business.

Prior to PlaySide, Benn spent fifteen years in investment banking at firms including Macquarie Bank and Canaccord Genuity. He worked in equities research covering a range of small-cap growth companies, and was involved in initial public offerings across the technology and financial services sectors.

Benn holds a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Information Systems and Accounting, from Curtin University in Western Australia. He has also completed a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment with the Securities Institute of Australia (now FINSIA).
